Gomez Family Photoshoot in Ocala, Florida (Baseline Trailhead Park)
Being able to help others live the moment is something that I never want to give up. The Gomez Family was not only great; they were excited for the photoshoot which made my job a lot easier. During this photo shoot the park (Baseline Trailhead Park, Ocala, Florida) had rained a couple of hours prior, needless to say, it was a challenge getting some of these shots due to the wet ground conditions and bugs starting to come out. This photoshoot was very special to me because the family told me they left everything behind when they came to America, including the photos they had in a photo album.
I used my Tamron 24-75mm lens for the entire shoot. Due to the overcast after the rain, I had to increase the ISO on my camera to compensate for the lowered light conditions. Overall the photo shoot session was a success but looking back I wish I had increased my aperture to sharpen some of the images. My F-stop was at 2.4 for most of the shoot - I think the ideal range would have been 2.8-3.2. The family said that they’d love for me to do another family photoshoot of them in the future! With that being said, I will make sure my settings are ideal for sharper images next time!
